"Human trafficking is a growing problem around the world and even in America. In 2018, the National Human Trafficking Hotline received more than 41,000 contacts and reported 10,949 cases of human trafficking, 89 of which were reported in Alabama.
At the last Crossville city council meeting Tuesday, Jan. 14, Mayor Tera Fortenberry read a proclamation declaring January 2020 as Human Trafficking Awareness Month to stop the spread of crime into the area."
